The Mobility Roadshow Scotland returns to the Royal Highland Centre near Edinburgh on Friday 17th and Saturday 18th September 2010.
The fourth Mobility Roadshow to be held in Scotland, it brings together on one site a great choice of mobility, healthcare and rehabilitation products, services, advice and information for disabled and older people throughout Scotland and the North of England, for whom help with mobility ensures a more active and independent lifestyle.
A varied line up of exhibitors from all mobility sectors will showcase their latest innovations and models - motor manufacturers; conversion and adaptation specialists; wheelchair, scooter, bike and trike companies; independent living products for the home; as well as organisations offering information and advice on all aspects of mobility.
This is a rare opportunity to test drive and compare adapted and converted vehicles, including drive-from-wheelchair and wheelchair passenger models.
Several motor manufacturers and conversion specialists will have brand-new models that were launched last month at the UK national Mobility Roadshow.
Visitors can also try and assess wheelchairs, scooters and mobility cycles for comfort and safety - from high-end power chairs to lightweight portable models that are ideal to store in the boot of a car.
Always a popular attraction at this event, the Sports Arena will again be buzzing with activity, and Cyclefest - a hugely popular feature of the Roadshow at Peterborough last month - celebrates adapted and companion cycling plus a range of handcyles too, all available to try out.
You can check out and join in sports including basketball, boccia and archery and scale the accessible climbing wall, as well as gain advice on where to access sports and fitness clubs in your own area.
