RADAR has been commissioned by the Department of Health to run a series of events that will enable the Department to better understand its obligations under the recently ratified UN Convention on the Rights of Disabled People. The UK Government must report back to the UN on plans and progress by July 2011.
This is your opportunity to influence the Health related part of that report. We therefore cordially invite you to a conference focused on the Department of Health and the UN Convention on the Rights of Disabled People. We are holding this event twice - once in Manchester and again in London.
The content will be identical, so please choose just one venue - that which suits you best.
The Manchester event will take place on: Wednesday 21st July
The London event will take place on: Wednesday 1st September
Both of these run from 10:30 – 15:00 with lunch and refreshments provided.
Places at these events are free, but because of a very limited budget we are unable to cover expenses.
If you would like to attend, please could you put one of these dates in your diaries now – I will be in touch within the next couple of weeks with RSVP forms, and to let you know about venue details etc.
